The Oral Anti-COVID-19 Medicine PAXLOVID™ Shows the Final Efficiency Rate 89% in The Clinical Trials, And Is Effective for Omicron.
PAXLOVID™ has two kinds of tablets in the package. One is Nirmatrelvir tablet, and the other is Ritonavir tablet.
The code of Nirmatrelvir API is PF-07321332, which the CAS# is 2628280-40-8, and the chemical structure is as follows:

We can see that there are six Chiral centers, which makes it difficult to synthesis, develop the MOA and validation.
Basing on the initial study on the chemical structure, we worked out three possible intermediates, (1R,2S,5S)—6,6-DiMethyl-3-aza-bicylo[3.1.0]Hexane-2-carboxylic acid Methyl ester hydrochloride CAS# 565456-77-1

Methyl (S)-2-(Boc-amino)-3-[(S)-2-oxo-3-pyrrolidinyl]propanoate
CAS# 328086-60-8

3-methyl-n - (trifluoroacetyl) - L-valine CAS# 666832-71-9

Definitely, there are some other processes for it, which might be similar or better than the above three ones. Contact with me at kevin@echemi.com if you are interested.
Also, we have developed the MOA for it. And it can test the chirality, and has been validated.
All of the information is just for R&D purpose only.
