Pfizer Q1: Paxlovid Revenue of $1.47 Billion Comirnaty Revenue of $13.23 Billion
Pfizer's estimated sales of Paxlovid in 2022 are $22 billion, and Q1 revenue in 2022 is $1.47 billion, which is lower than expected.
Merck's estimated sales of molnupiravir in 2022 are $5-6 billion, and Q1 revenue in 2022 is as high as $3.2 billion, far exceeding expectations.
In addition, a few days ago, Kathrin Jansen, the head of the Pfizer vaccine research and development team that promoted Pfizer to cooperate with BioNTech to win Comirnaty, has decided to retire.
According to the data, the company’s Q1 revenue in 2022 is $25.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 76%; net profit is $7.864 billion, a year-on-year increase of 61%; adjusted earnings per share are $1.62, compared with an expected $1.47.
The 2022 Q1 sales of its much-watched covid-19 oral drug Paxlovid and covid-19 vaccine Comirnaty were also announced. In particular, the market generally believed that Pfizer's Paxlovid sales were significantly lower than expected, which caused strong industry concerns.
