National Coal Supply and Demand Balance in April

On May 17, the regular theme news conference held by the Development and Reform Commission revealed that the overall balance of coal supply and demand in April.
data show that as of May 8, the coal storage capacity of key power plants in China was 77.56 million tons, an increase of 21.6% over the previous year, and it could be used for 23 days. The coal storage capacity of Qinhuangdao Port increased by 28% over the previous year, effectively guaranteeing stable and healthy economic and social development.
In addition, the growth rate of national power generation increased further in April. According to the dispatching express report data, in April, the national monthly cumulative power generation was 540.1 billion kWh, and the daily average power generation was 18 billion kWh, an increase of 6.5% over the same period of last year, and the growth rate was 1 percentage point higher than that in the first quarter. Regionally, the growth rate of electricity generation and reception in Southwest, South and Northeast China is higher than the national average.
