China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019 opens in Guiyang

On May 26, 2019 China International Big Data Industry Expo opened in Guiyang on May 26. Wang Chen, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony, read out President Xi Jinping's congratulations and delivered a speech.

Wang Chen pointed out that President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter fully embodied China's great importance to the development of big data industry, its firm belief in promoting exchanges and cooperation among countries around the world and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, and its great significance in promoting the new and greater development of big data industry.

Wang Chen pointed out that the development of digital economy is an effective way to promote the structural reform of the supply side, an important part of building a modern economic system and an objective need to achieve high-quality development. China will adhere to the new development concept, further play the role of basic resources and innovation engine of data, accelerate the digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, and strive to realize the transformation from a big data country to a powerful data country.
