When pain turns into disease, are you right?

Almost everyone has experienced pain. In today's international medical community, pain has been listed as the fifth "vital sign" after "breathing, pulse, blood pressure, body temperature". However, even with the continuous achievements and breakthroughs of modern medicine today, people still seem powerless in the face of many pain problems. For many people, pain is not only a protective response of the body to the injury, but also a kind of disease that seriously affects the quality of life. Xue Ligong, an expert in orthopedics and traumatology and an excavator of meridian-tendon theory and long-round needle therapy in Beijing Dongcheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that when pain becomes a disease, he should seek the help of a professional doctor.
Ms. Liu, who is over 40 years old, has suffered knee joint pain for more than 20 years. When she was in high school, she did poorly in sports. She practiced long-distance running for a long time in order to pass the exam. Maybe her knee began to ache because she could not practice properly. She could not keep running 800 meters. To the hospital for examination, the doctor said that the joint movement injury, prescribed painkillers and plasters. Since then, Ms. Liu's joints have changed from good to bad, and she has sought several hospitals. Some doctors say that calcium needs to be supplemented, while others suggest chondroitin, but it has no obvious effect. When she gave birth to a child, the knee pain became more serious, not to mention intensive exercise, which is usually painful when walking. In order to cure the disease, Ms. Liu had been needling acupuncture for half a year, and finally wore knee protectors in the absence of dog days. Then I went to several Chinese medicine doctors, who said that she was too damp and cold, and could only be slowly conditioned by Chinese medicine. But whether it is acupuncture or soup medicine, it is effective in treatment, and it will be repeated after a short time. For more than a decade, Ms. Liu and her knees have been engaged in an endless "protracted battle" to cure the pain after a period of time.
After examination, Xue Ligong believed that the above pain patients all have different degrees of "meridian tendon" problems. It is known that "meridian tendon" is a subsidiary part of the twelve meridians, and is the system in which the Qi of the twelve meridians "knots, gathers, disperses and collaterals" in the muscles and joints. "Simply put, meridian tendons are muscles, ligaments and affiliated tissues that are distributed according to the line of motion of the human body." According to Xue Ligong, the intractable pain of muscles and joints such as back, waist and knee joint is caused by the long-term repeated injury of the attachment of muscles and ligaments (tendons) and the formation of scars (lesions of tendons). Scar accumulates repeatedly over a long period of time, and it is difficult to relieve it by general filiform needle, physiotherapy and massage. In addition, we found that most of the patients who have worked with orthopaedics and traumatology department for many years do not actually have bone pain as the root cause. Because articular cartilage has no pain nerve, so the pain is not bone, but tendons. When palpating a patient, you can directly touch the tender focus of the meridian muscle, which is also the evidence of `pain in the meridian muscle is not in the bone'. Because the disease is in "meridian tendon" rather than "bone", it is difficult for those who treat "bone" to achieve good results.
Changyuan points out that the above-mentioned pain problems related to injury and degenerative lesions have always attracted the attention of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and the ways and means to solve them are also different. Pain relief is a solution to pain symptoms, aiming at relieving pain, and can not directly eradicate pain. Pain relief is a treatment for pain lesions, aiming at removing pain lesions. Although it is not simple pain relief, or even no pain relief, it can fundamentally relieve pain. Long-round needle therapy based on meridian-tendon theory is a treatment method directly aimed at the most prone pain focus of patients-meridian-tendon.
