Titanium concentrate prices in Panxi region have been stagnant and stable this week. The main downstream titanium dioxide market can not hide the weakness, the upward conduction of the industrial chain is obvious, the miners feel the pressure of shipment increases, so the price war is obvious. Following a small reduction last week, with the drought in Panxi region, the start-up rate of water treatment plants declined, and this week's market stalled and stabilized. In addition, the original import of titanium ore spot tension, high prices, vulnerable mood temporarily eased. At present, the price of 38-grade or more titanium concentrates in Panxi is around 720-740 CNY/ton, 46-grade 10-grade titanium concentrates are between 1100-1140 CNY/ton and 47-grade 20-grade titanium concentrates are between 1200-1230 CNY/ton. Yan Titanium industry analyst Yang Xun believes: Titanium concentrate market is temporarily stable after weak, the main downstream Titanium dioxide weakness led to a decline in start-up rate, reduced demand for titanium concentrate, in the short term, Panxi Titanium Concentrate market or weak operation. According to statistics provided by the General Administration of Customs, China's titanium ore imports in May 2019 were about 171,800 tons, a decrease of 38.39%, an annualized increase of 40.73%. Kenya, Mozambique and Australia were among the top three importing countries. From January to May 2019, China imported about 959,900 tons, a decrease of about 360,000 tons compared with the same period last year, a decrease of 27.54% compared with the same period last year; in May 2019, China exported about 706 tons of titanium ore, a decrease of 58.85% compared with the same period last year, and a decrease of 58.05%. From January to May 2019, the cumulative export volume was about 9258.15 tons, an increase of 14.28% over the same period last year.
