Global crude steel production in May increased by 163 million tons

According to the latest data from the World Steel Association, in May 2019, crude steel production in 64 countries included in the World Iron and Steel Association statistics reached 162.7 million tons, an increase of 5.4% over the same period last year.
Coal, coal price, coke, coke, power coal, coke price, anthracite and coke price data show that in May, China's crude steel output was 89.1 million tons, an increase of 10% over the same period last year. India's crude steel output was 9.2 million tons, up 5.1% year on year. Japan's crude steel output was 8.7 million tons, down 4.6% year on year. South Korea's crude steel output was 6.4 million tons, an increase of 2.2% over the same period last year. Among the EU countries, the crude steel output of Italy in May 2019 was 2.2 million tons, an increase of 1.1%, while that of France was 1.2 million tons, a decrease of 7.6%. Spain's crude steel production was 1.3 million tons, down 7.1% year on year. In May of 2019, crude steel production in the United States was 7.7 million tons, an increase of 5.4% over the previous year. The output of crude steel in Brazil was 2.8 million tons, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year. Crude steel production in Turkey in May was 3.1 million tons, down 8% from the same period last year. Ukraine's crude steel output was 1.8 million tons, an increase of 7.8% over the same period last year.
