AkzoNobel Launches Interpon ACE Powder Coatings
AkzoNobel has developed a comprehensive portfolio of Interpon ACE powder coatings to meet the specific needs of the Agricultural and Construction Equipment (ACE) industries. In addition to providing ultimate protection and functionality, powder coatings are more sustainable and performant than other coating solutions. The new Interpon ACE series is specifically designed to withstand the harsh environments that agricultural and construction equipment is exposed to every day: harsh weather conditions from hot sun to torrential rain and freezing temperatures; exposure to chemical corrosion, such as oil or fertilizer; and everyday wear and tear, such as scratches and wear.
The full range includes ACE primers and ACE topcoats used in combination (see editor's note) to provide optimum performance. To meet mechanical requirements, all powder coatings in this range meet and exceed stringent industry standards for adhesion, hardness, flexibility and impact resistance to ensure that all equipment (from tractors to excavators, forklifts to bulldozers) is protected against Protects for a long time and keeps its premium appearance. This ensures the integrity and performance of the device today, while also helping to maintain its value in the resale market of the future.
The new Interpon ACE range is an excellent alternative to more traditional liquid coating solutions, not only because of their superior performance, but also because of the undeniable sustainability benefits of powder coatings: they are free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and Can help reduce carbon footprint. In the application process, the layering can be reduced from the traditional three layers to two layers, or even a single layer. This means lower unit costs and less waste. At the same time, they are also easy to apply and have improved edge coverage, especially when coating difficult shapes.
