LyondellBasell And Nippon Paint China Reach Strategic Cooperation to Use Recycled Polymers to Produce Coatings And Packaging

ECHEMI 2022-03-25

On March 24, LyondellBasell and Nippon Paint China announced a strategic cooperation to use recycled polymers to produce coatings and packaging. At the same time, Nippon Paint China announced the launch of new product packaging for its multi-series waterproof and interface agent products. The packaging will use LyondellBasell CirculenRecover polypropylene polymer, replacing the previously used 100% virgin polypropylene resin injection molding design.

LyondellBasell's CirculenRecover polypropylene polymer is made from the mechanical recycling of post-consumer plastic waste, helping to reduce plastic waste entering the environment, driving a circular economy and increasing the sustainable value of consumer products. CirculenRecover polymers use an efficient recycling process to dispose of plastic waste and achieve a low carbon footprint, providing a sustainable and high-quality recycled plastic product that has been used in applications such as personal care packaging , luggage, bottle caps and stoppers, etc.
