The United States intends to impose more tariffs on EU imports of US$4 billion

According to the latest news from Bloomberg on July 1, the United States intends to impose more tariffs on the EU's $4 billion commodities.
The news says that the United States intends to impose new tariffs on European goods worth about $4 billion, due to differences between the two sides on airplane subsidies. The U.S. Trade Representative Office released a list of additional products worth $4 billion on July 1, local time, which could be hit by tariffs, Reuters said. Bloomberg said the United States and the European Union had been accusing each other of illegally subsidizing their major aircraft manufacturers. The Office of the United States Trade Representative said in a statement that it was doing so to "safeguard the rights of the United States in disputes between the World Trade Organization and the European Union". Bloomberg also said that the European products included cheese, milk, coffee, certain metal products including copper, Irish and Scottish whiskey and pork products.
