The shares of Sichuan Longmang and Baoti Group jumped on June 28. It was heard that the global top 3 producers of titanium dioxide will raise price on July 1, 2017. The Chinese titanium dioxide market may see new increases.

ISHIHARA SANGYO KAISHA: Prices of all kinds of TITANIUM dioxide in Asia-Pacific will increase $250/mt from July 1, 2017.

Chemours: Prices for most kinds of Titanium Dioxide in China will increase $200/mt from July . Prices for special types (R-960, TS-6200, TS-6300, R-105 and R-108) will increase $300/mt.

Tronox: Prices for titanium dioxide in Asia-Pacific increase $200/mt and prices for titanium dioxide in Australia increase AUD 270/mt.  

Besides these three producers, other coatings producers also raise the prices of titanium dioxide. Evonik will raise the price of DEGALAN by euro 0.05-0.45/kg from July 1.

Chinese titanium dioxide producers also raise the prices. The average price of Rutile Titanium Dioxide is around RMB 20,000/mt. The price has increased around 20% this year. After the increase from the top 3 producers, the Chinese titanium dioxide market will go up, too.

The titanium dioxide prices in the secondary market also go up. The Sichuan Longmang’ shares have increased in three years and the total increase has reached 27%. Their staffs say that their production and profits in Q2, 2017 was better than the Q1. The price still has increase spaces.

Players are bullish about the coming titanium dioxide market, and titanium dioxide prices will continue the uptrend.
