Of the 41 industrial parks in Guangxi Province, 31 are industrial parks with an approved planning area of 18,802.78 hectares, of which 15,373.56 hectares have been utilized. Industrial parks (development zones) are mainly divided into three categories:


Technical development zone

There are four high-tech development zones: Nanning High-Tech Development Zone, Guilin High-Tech Development Zone, Beihai High-Tech Development Zone And Liuzhou High-Tech Development Zone. The main industries are electronic information, pharmaceutical, biological engineering, non-ferrous metals, new materials, fine chemicals, electromechanical integration, environmental protection, auto parts, electric power equipment, etc.


Comprehensive development zone

There are 21 comprehensive development zone, with major industries being mechanical and electrical, building materials, automobile, engineering machinery, auto parts, aluminum processing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environmental protection, electronic information, food processing, food processing, non-ferrous metal processing, metal smelting, forest chemical industry, new materials, textile, daily chemical, petrochemical, communication network, etc.


Export-oriented development zone

There are 6 export-oriented development zones, whose main industries are electromechanical, electronic, pharmaceutical, chemical, food, textile, plastics, forestry, wood, and ceramics.


Development Prospect

The construction and development of industrial parks (development zones) play a window, radiation, demonstration and driving role for the region to expand the opening to the outside world, develop new and high technologies, increase the export of products, attract foreign capital, and promote the development of local economy. At present, the development of the park has shown a good momentum of rapid and healthy development, and the park economy has maintained a rapid growth, and the park economy has become a powerful new economic growth point for the industry in the park.
