China's Guangxi posts 136-bln-yuan foreign trade in January-April
The foreign trade of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region stood at 135.54 billion yuan (about 19.1 billion U.S. dollars) in the first four months of the year, according to local customs authorities.
The border region's foreign trade in April was 43.02 billion yuan, up 4.3 percent compared with March, said Nanning Customs.The total trade from January to April dipped by 9.1 percent year on year, among which exports reached 72.51 billion yuan and imports were 63.03 billion yuan.During the period, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the region's largest trading partner, registered a total trade volume of 64.88 billion yuan with Guangxi, accounting for nearly half of Guangxi's foreign trade.Guangxi's trade volume with Australia grew by 9.2 percent year on year to reach 5.13 billion yuan.
Foreign-funded companies and state-owned enterprises reported strong trade recovery in April, with year-on-year increases of 21.2 percent and 43.2 percent, respectively.
