Xinjiang XPCC Caohu Industrial Park to Reach 2,000,000 Spindles by 2020
XPCC Caohu Industrial Park’s 2 million spindles spinning project is an assistance construction project in Xinjiang provided by Guangdong Province. It is scheduled to realize 2 million spindles by 2020, to become one of the national or the world most high-end yarn production bases and lay foundation for the rapid development of textile and apparel industry in South Xinjiang.
On May 21, 2017, the first phase covering 0.3 million spindles started operation, with investment value at 1.31 billion Yuan, covering 372.8 Mu of area, annual cotton yarn production staying at 30kt and jobs created at 1,300. The second phase with 0.3 million spindles covered 282 Mu of area and 0.978 billion Yuan of investment value, which had started construction in Mar 2017 and plans to start operation before the Spring Festival in 2018. On Jun 22, the third phase covered 0.4 million spindles signed a contract, with investment value at 1.65 billion yuan and jobs created at 2,000. After the third phase finished, the spinning capacity in Caohu Industrial Park would be 1 million spindles.
