Israeli Compounder Polyram to Open Complex in Indiana

Thermoplastics compounder Polyram Plastic Industries Ltd. plans to lease and renovate a 100,000-square-foot facility in Evansville, which will be its first U.S. production facility.
The plant will open in early 2018 and employ 50 by 2022, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
Renovations on the building are scheduled to begin this month, the agency announced July 5. Polyram will install equipment to make plastic additives and adhesives.
"We are excited and are looking forward to joining the Indiana community known all over the world for its manufacturing tradition and culture," said Sharon Segev, Chief Operating Officer at Polyram.
The Ram-On, Israel-based company has three production sites: two in Israel and one in Tianjin, China.
"The Evansville area is internationally known for its deep plastic industry roots. Its ideal logistical location and availability of a highly-skilled workforce with all the skill sets required for plastic manufacturing were key factors contributing to our decision," Segev said.
IEDC is giving the company up to $275,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants. In addition, the agency is giving Vanderburgh County with up to $50,000 in infrastructure assistance.
