U.S. agricultural supplies distributor CHS and West Central Ag Services sign merger intent

U.S. agricultural supplies distributor CHS has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Minnesota-based West Central Ag Services, which is proposed to join CHS in an effort to better serve its customers by joining forces. And lay the foundation for future development.

West Central Ag Services said the partnership with CHS will help realize the shared vision of advancing the business by connecting producers to the global market and providing owners with superior service. The transaction will deliver greater value to farmers and enable both parties to compete more effectively with local agricultural companies, while laying the foundation for an efficient, globally connected supply chain.

CHS said the transaction with West Central Ag Services is consistent with its strategic investment to grow the global agricultural supply chain and provide end-to-end value and enhanced market access for businesses. CHS emphasized that the two parties have a long and strong relationship based on mutual trust and respect, which is reflected in the successful operation of their joint venture, Central Plains Ag Services.

Through this partnership, CHS and West Central Ag Services plan to better connect the global agricultural supply chain, provide better market access and create more value for farmers. 

The parties are currently conducting due diligence on the proposed transaction and awaiting the necessary approvals. The final realization of this cooperation will help promote innovation and development in the agricultural sector and bring new vitality to the agricultural sector.
