L’Oréal Middle East Partners with BinSina Pharmacy to Promote Sustainable Beauty in the UAE
L’Oréal Middle East and BinSina Pharmacy in the UAE have entered into a multi-year sustainability partnership. The partnership, formally launched through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to support the UAE’s move towards a circular economy by incorporating more sustainable practices in the beauty and personal care retail sector.
As part of the agreement, L’Oréal will expand the availability of its refillable beauty products in BinSina stores. The partnership will also reduce plastic use through eco-designed point-of-sale materials, with the goal of reducing plastic use to 85% by 2027. Waste reduction measures include improved forecasting and in-store initiatives.
Beauty consultants will be trained through joint programs to guide consumers towards more environmentally friendly beauty choices. The partnership will also support community engagement through programs such as La Roche-Posay’s “Battle of Care”, which focuses on social impact and public health awareness.
The move reflects the growing importance of sustainability in the beauty and personal care sector, especially in the Gulf region, where national agendas now emphasize environmental responsibility. The collaboration will allow both companies to lead circular economy practices in cosmetics retail as consumer demand shifts toward refillable and low-waste products.
