In-situ Conversion Rate of Ordos Coal in the First Half of the Year

According to the Ordos Statistical Bureau, from January to June, coal production in Ordos has improved and the local coal conversion rate has increased.
Raw coal is affected by better natural mining conditions, completion of replacement of production capacity of enterprises, expansion of production capacity and other factors. Its output has increased steadily. The output of raw coal in the whole city has increased by 32,443,000 tons, an increase of 27,683,000 tons, an increase of 9.3%, an increase of 6.5 percentage points over the same period of last year. At the same time, 60.467 million tons of coal were converted in-situ by industrial enterprises above the city's scale, an increase of 17.327 million tons over the same period last year, with an in-situ conversion rate of 18.6%, an increase of 3.8 percentage points over the same period last year.
Ordos Statistical Bureau indicated that the improvement of in-situ coal conversion rate mainly benefited from the following aspects.
Firstly, driven by the upper limit of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd., the output of coal-to-oil products increased by a large margin. The output of coal-to-oil products increased by 99.8% to 945,000 tons, an increase of 111.9 percentage points over the same period last year.
Secondly, influenced by the increase of power grid quota and electricity demand of power enterprises, power generation in the whole city grew steadily. The total social power generation increased by 85.7 billion kWh compared with the same period last year, of which 49.89 billion kWh was generated by coal-fired power generation, an increase of 15.6% compared with the same period last year.
