Dandong: Futian 'vegetable basket' supply is sufficient

On the morning of July 31, the reporter visited several large-scale agricultural markets in the city and found that after the heavy rain of the previous few days, there was no big fluctuation in the "vegetable basket" of our city.

According to the monitoring by the relevant departments of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, at present, the prices of vegetables are complete, the supply of goods is sufficient, the prices of grain and edible oil are generally stable; the prices of pork are still running at a high level; the prices of eggs are rising; the prices of aquatic products are steadily declining; and the prices of vegetables and fruits are declining significantly. The price of grain and edible oil in Futian is stable. At present, the price of rice is 2.4 yuan to 2.6 yuan per 500 grams and flour is 2 yuan to 2.5 yuan. The price of barreled (non-rotating) soybean oil (5L) is about 53 yuan per barrel and that of bulk soybean oil is about 3.20 yuan per 500 grams. The price is basically unchanged. Prices for aquatic products have declined steadily. In the market, the price of hairtail is about 15 yuan per 500 grams, a decrease of 6.3%. Freshwater fish such as carp are abundant and stable in price. 

Egg prices are up 0.3 yuan per 500 grams, or 8.1 percent, compared with last month. "In mid-late July, the purchasing volume in the Southern Market increased, and the speed of purchases accelerated, which supported the further rise in egg prices." The relevant person in charge introduced that the current price of chicken is about 8 yuan per 500 grams, which is the same as last month.

"There are more vegetables this year, and the price of vegetables is declining as a whole." Vegetable vendors with the surname of Gong introduced that the price of vegetables commonly eaten by ordinary people is stable as a whole because it is beneficial to vegetable growth and picking in hot summer. For example, Chinese cabbage is 1.5 yuan (every 500 grams), cucumber is 1-2 yuan (every 500 grams), potato is 1-1.5 yuan (every 500 grams), green pepper is 1.5-2.5 yuan (every 500 grams), onion is 1.5 yuan-2 yuan.（ Every 500 grams, tomatoes 1 yuan to 2.5 yuan (every 500 grams), eggplants 1 yuan to 1.5 yuan (every 500 grams), rape 2.5 yuan (every 500 grams), carrots 2.5 yuan (every 500 grams).

According to the price of 15 vegetable varieties monitored by the relevant departments of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, only one of them has risen. The prices of other vegetable varieties have been reduced or maintained at the same level as last month. In addition, the price of apples was about 8.0 yuan/kg, which was 43% lower than that of last month. At present, the apple monitoring varieties are Gala apples, which are widely circulated in the market. The price of each 500 grams is about 3-4 yuan, which is 4-5 Yuan different from that of Fuji apples which were monitored earlier. Affected by the hot weather and the appearance of various summer fruits, banana prices gradually began to fall back to 3 yuan/500 g, down 14% from last month.
