At present, all the wheaten vegetables sold are produced in greenhouses. The wheaten vegetables in the northern production area are produced in warm greenhouses, and the wheaten vegetables in the southern production area are produced in cold greenhouses. In the case of strong cooling, the vegetables produced in these greenhouses are not damaged by freezing. However, due to the decrease of temperature, the growth rate slows down, and the output also drops, resulting in the price rise. It is understood that in recent years, the construction of winter vegetable greenhouses in the northern production areas has been steadily promoted, providing a good guarantee for the production of fresh and tender vegetables in winter. The planting scale has been expanding, and the supply has been increasing year by year. The price of these small varieties of leafy vegetables will fluctuate from time to time in winter, generally due to the weather, such as the lack of light caused by cooling, snowfall and overcast days, which will affect the growth speed of vegetables. The other reason, said the person in charge, is that there are overlaps or fractures in the succession period of vegetables from the production area. The impact of these fluctuations on prices is short-term. This winter, the price of wheaten vegetables will not show a big gap with the same period last year.
