Coal prices in Inner Mongolia are expected to rise slightly in August

According to the price monitoring center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the settlement price of power coal pit and the purchase price of electricity coal in Inner Mongolia increased slightly in July. In recent years, the national temperature continues to rise, and the coal consumption of power plants has increased. Coal prices are expected to rise slightly in August.
Data shows that in July, the average pit settlement price of power coal in Inner Mongolia was 215.26 CNY/ton, a slight increase of 0.49% compared with the previous year, and an increase of 4.67%. Among them, the average pit settlement price of lignite in the eastern region is 182.23 CNY/ton, a slight increase of 0.32% annually; the average pit settlement price of power coal in Ordos City is 270.00 CNY/ton, an increase of 3.40% annually. During the same period, the average purchase price of electricity coal in Inner Mongolia was 201.21 CNY/ton, up 0.53% annually and down 0.99% year on year.
Industry analysts believe that the average daily coal consumption of power plants has rebounded in recent years as the national temperature continues to rise. As of late July, the daily consumption of the six major power generation groups has risen to about 800,000 tons. Coal prices in Inner Mongolia are expected to rise slightly in August as the enthusiasm of producer traders to replenish their reserves increases.
