Fruit prices have been falling continuously.

On the one hand, because of the rainy season, fruit growers quicken their sales. On the other hand, peaches, watermelons, grapes and other large amounts of land fruits are ripe in this season.
With the large-scale market of peaches, watermelons, grapes and other fruits, the price of fruits in Beijing has declined significantly in recent years. Aug. 6, the reporter learned from Beijing New Land that fruit prices began to decline significantly last week. On the one hand, because of the rainy season, fruit farmers quickened their dumping. Another reason is that peaches, watermelons, grapes and other large land fruits are ripe in this season. Fruit prices in Beijing skyrocketed a few months ago. Reporters visited Beijing and found that one of the main reasons for the sharp rise in fruit prices is that Apple, which accounts for half of the sales, is in short supply and almost doubles the price. But now, apples are at the forefront of the decline.
According to the statistics of Xinhua District in Beijing, on August 2, the wholesale price of Gala apple in the new market was 1.80-3.50 yuan/kg. On July 26, a week ago, the price was 2.00-4.00 yuan/kg, which was 11.67% lower than that in the same period last year, and was 1.50-4.60 yuan/kg, which was 13.11% lower than that in the same period last year.
Gala apples are mainly sold in Fuping of Shaanxi Province and Yuncheng of Shanxi Province. The market period of Gala apples in Shaanxi Province is about half a month earlier than that in Shanxi Province. It can be sold for more than one month. Later, Gala apples in Yantai of Shandong Province will be on the market by the end of August, and then it will be finished after linking up with Fuji apples.
Gala apples can not be stored, because after storage, the taste will become sticky and lose the feeling of crispness and sweetness, which is called "vodka" in the industry. In recent years, Gala Apple has been planted in Shanxi, Shaanxi and other places every year. The fruit trees planted in previous years have begun to hang fruit this year. Last year, Gala apple in Shaanxi province suffered cold spell in spring, its yield decreased and its fruit quality was poor, so its price was slightly higher. According to merchants, Gala apple in Shaanxi, Shanxi and other places did not suffer serious natural disasters this year. It belongs to a bumper harvest year, so its price is lower than that in the same period of last year. The price should be returned after the formation of batch listing in the later period. There is room for descent.
On August 2, the weighted average price of fruits in the new market was 2.75 yuan/kg, and on July 26 it was 3.08 yuan/kg. The circumferential ratio was 10.71% lower than that in the same period last year, which was 2.85 yuan/kg, a decrease of 3.51%.
Fruit prices dropped significantly last week, which is lower than the same level last year. This is due to the recent mass market of land fruits, such as peaches, melons, watermelons, grapes and so on. It is also due to the recent rainy season. Fruits are in the long-term cloudy weather and heavy rainfall humidity environment. Fruit is easy to fall, rot and cause disease, so fruit growers have to harvest in advance and sell as soon as possible. The increase in the market holdings will inevitably lead to a decline in prices. Although the overall price of large-scale land fruits has declined since the market was launched, the prices of individual varieties such as apples and grapes are still higher than last year's level. As far as the current listing situation is concerned, the listed varieties have not yet reached the stage of large-scale listing, but the price has declined significantly. Once a batch listing is formed in the later stage, the price of some fruits with high prices will dive sharply.
The head of the Statistics Department of Xinxing District said that the planting scale of fruits had been expanded this year, so the price trend of some varieties in the later period was not very optimistic for some growers and wholesalers.
