US $300 billion tariff increase to China will be counteracted by China

ECHEMI 2019-08-23

China-US-trade

In response to the announcement by the U.S. Trade Representative Office that tariffs will be imposed on about $300 billion of imported goods from China by 10%, the relevant head of the State Council Tariff Commission said that the U.S. action seriously violated the consensus of the Argentine and Osaka meetings between the two heads of state, and deviated from the correct track of negotiating and resolving differences. China will have to take the necessary counter-measures.
