Rutile Titanium Dioxide Market Review

The Chinese Rutile titanium dioxide market prices continued the downtrend. Restricted by the environmental protection inspection, the downstream operating rate was low and some Rutile Titanium Dioxide producers in Southwest China cut down operating rates. Though some players raised prices, the dealing prices were still low. The mainstream negotiation price was in the range of RMB 16,400-17,500/mt. Some goods were traded at the price RMB 16,000/mt or lower.
Anatase Titanium Dioxide Market Review

The Chinese anatase titanium dioxide market inched down this week. Producers’ offers were largely stable. Downstream users purchased goods on a need-to basis. Some anatase titanium dioxide producers stopped producing, but the influence was limited. The mainstream price for anatase titanium dioxide was RMB 14,200-15,000/mt including VAT by acceptance.
Forecast:
The overall operating rate will be around 60%. Most players are bearish about the market. It is predicted that the Chinese titanium dioxide market may inch down next week.
