Guinea plans to drastically reduce the number of drug importers to four

Guinean media Guineematin.com recently reported that the Guinean government plans to reduce the number of drug importers by a large margin, with the ultimate goal of reducing the number to four. Dr. Kerry, Secretary-General of Guinean Pharmacists'Union, said that 104 enterprises in Guinea had qualifications for drug imports at first and then reduced to 58. Currently, several governments plan to reduce the number of drug importers to four at a time, reaching the average level in West Africa. According to the report, four pharmaceutical importers include a state-owned enterprise in Guinea (i.e., La Pharmacie Centrale de Guinbee, the central pharmacy of Guinea), and three private enterprises.
