BASF boosts methanesulfonic acid production

Global demand for methanesulfonic acid (MSA) has grown steadily over the past few years. This trend is driven by growing interest in environmentally optimized products and formulations. In order to meet increasing customer demand, BASF has invested up to 10 million yuan in the Verbund plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany, to expand production capacity.

"With this investment, we are helping our global customer base to formulate environmentally optimized high-performance products. This investment increases the capacity of the Ludwigshafen plant to 50,000 tons/year.
