Titanium Dioxide Market Went Down This Week (Jul 21-27, 2017)
Rutile Titanium Dioxide Market Review

The Chinese Rutile titanium dioxide showed a stable-to-decreasing trend this week. Though the titanium dioxide units in Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium Industrial Park were shut, the downstream demand was limited on the environmental protection. Few titanium dioxide producers raised the offers, but the overall market was soft. Up to July 27, the mainstream negotiation prices for Rutile Titanium Dioxide were in the range of RMB 16,000-17,300/mt. Some goods were traded at the price of RMB 16,000/mt below.
Anatase Titanium Dioxide Market Review

The Chinese anatase titanium dioxide market was largely stable with mild declines in some regions. In Southwest China, some units were shut and the market supply became tight. But the overall inventory was at a high level and the anatase titanium dioxide market remained stable. The downstream demand was modest. The mainstream reference prices for anatase titanium dioxide were in the range of RMB 14,200-15,000/mt. Some goods were traded at lower prices.
Forecast:
Influenced by the environmental protection inspection, the overall operating rate is around 50%. And the demand for titanium dioxide will continue to be weak. It is predicted that the Chinese titanium dioxide market will be weak in the short term.
