JK Tyre Launches Digital Ecosystem in Rural India
JK Tyre & Industries Ltd has launched 'Jagruti se Pragati', an innovative project which aims to bridge the communication gaps between farmers and agricultural experts, using modern digital technology.
Under the initiative, which focuses on rural Indian markets, a mobile unit, equipped with Virtual Reality technology, webcast based conferencing tools and touch screen technology, is touring remote villages of India.
The objective of the unit is to create awareness among farmers, about scientific methods of agriculture, maintenance of their tractor tyres and agricultural counselling from trained agronomists using teleconferencing techniques.
10 such units are covering close to 1,000 villages in one month and farmers have shown great enthusiasm and interest in these sessions.
