Axalta Coating Systems Increases Prices for Powder Coatings in the Middle East
Axalta Coating Systems has introduced price increases for powder coatings in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The move is in response to a surge in raw material costs.
“Prices for our raw materials have increased significantly since the summer 2016. Despite our efforts to peruse and to implement cost savings while at the same time working closely with our suppliers to minimise the effect of the raw material price rises on our customers, Axalta is no longer able to absorb these cost increases without affecting our high level of services and superior product quality that our customers expect from us and that we are committed to deliver,” says Thomas Kopp, Vice President of Industrial Coatings for the EMEA region at Axalta. “It is therefore necessary to pass along some of these increases to our customers.”
