Statistical Bureau: Prices of secondary coke fell 137.7 yuan per ton

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of statistics on September 16, in the first ten days of September, the price of national coke (secondary coke) was 1741.5 CNY/ton, down 137.7 CNY/ton or 7.3% compared with the previous period. Since the late August, steel mills have a strong voice in coke price, which has experienced two relatively rapid rounds of decline in coke price, based on their high stock level and the implementation of different degrees of BF production restriction in September.
The profit of steel mill has been repaired gradually, and the intensity of coke crushing in steel mill has been relaxed compared with the earlier period. However, considering the approaching National Day, the production limit of blast furnace or the tightening of blast furnace, the steel mill still keeps on purchasing on demand. At present, the coke market as a whole has been running steadily and the market sentiment has improved slightly. Coke supply continues to operate steadily, and some coke enterprises still have inventory to be consumed.
In the downstream steel mills, coke stocks continue to operate at medium and high levels. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the arrival of goods is stable. Some mainstream steel mills have increased their stocks to this year's high point. The National Day production limit of steel mills in Hebei, Shandong and other regions is expected to increase. Blast furnaces start or will decline to a certain extent. Most steel mills do not catch up with high stocks and keep on demand. In the short run, terminal demand is still weak.
As of September 12, the metallurgical coke index of Luliang quasi-first grade in Shanxi Province was 1700 CNY/ton, with a flat cycle ratio and a decrease of 180 CNY/ton per month; the metallurgical coke index of Tangshan quasi-first grade in Hebei Province was 1910 CNY/ton, with a flat cycle ratio and a decrease of 100 CNY/ton per month; the metallurgical coke index of Rizhao Port was 1850 CNY/ton, with a flat cycle ratio and a decrease of 140 yuan per month. Tons per ton.
