In order to draw lessons from the "12.23" blowout accident of Sinopec Eastern Sichuan Drilling Company and effectively prevent and mitigate the major safety risks brought by oil and gas storage and expansion, the Shanxi Emergency Management Department decided to launch a special law enforcement action for safe production of onshore oil and gas exploitation in the province from now on to October 31.

This special law enforcement action focused on new construction projects and high-pressure and high-sulfur oil and gas exploration enterprises, and defined five law enforcement contents. Provincial Emergency Management Department requires emergency management departments at all levels, in accordance with legal procedures and jurisdiction of law enforcement, to strictly punish enterprises for five illegal and irregular construction and production activities listed in the Special Law Enforcement Form, and to conduct interviews and accountability in serious cases, and to publicly expose them.
