Vegetable prices in Shandong Province have declined slightly

Reporters learned from the website of the Ministry of Commerce that last week (9-15 September), 132 monitoring prices of 77 kinds of necessities in 12 major categories were monitored in Shandong Province. In the wholesale link, 29 of 64 commodity prices rose, accounting for 45.31%; 29 declined, accounting for 45.31%; 6 were flat, accounting for 9.38%. In the retail sector, 31 of 68 commodity prices rose, accounting for 45.58%; 30 fell, accounting for 44.11%; and 7 were flat, accounting for 10.31%. Last week, the wholesale price of pork was 37.39 yuan/kg, which was 1.58% higher than that of the previous week; the retail price was 40.95 yuan/kg, which was 2.81% higher than that of the previous week. Last week, the wholesale price of eggs was 11.33 yuan/kg, which was 1.73% lower than that of the previous week; the retail price was 11.69 yuan/kg, which was 0.6% lower than that of the previous week. Food, meat, poultry, aquatic products, edible oil, drinking water, dairy products, salt, sugar prices have changed slightly, but basically stable.
Vegetable prices declined slightly. In the retail sector, 13 prices of 30 vegetable varieties monitored by the whole province increased, 15 prices declined, and 2 prices remained flat. The average retail price was 5.79 yuan/kg, and the ring-to-ring ratio decreased by 0.17%. The ring-to-ring ratio of balsam pear, rape, eggplant and cauliflower decreased by 8%, 5.72% and 5.56%, respectively. % In the wholesale sector, the average wholesale price was 3.54 yuan/kg, which was 3.28% lower than the ring ratio. Among them, eggplant, balsam pear, lettuce and spinach decreased by 14.4%, 14.18%, 11.36% and 11.33% respectively. The reasons for the decrease of vegetable prices are as follows: (1) last week's temperature was relatively stable, suitable for vegetable growth, and the market volume of real estate vegetables in Shouguang and Shandong provinces continued to increase. In addition, this year's vegetable planting area in other provinces was larger, the market supply was still sufficient, and the prices of vegetables were mutually restrained, which made it difficult to rise; and (2) some northern vegetable varieties entered the end of the trading period. Third, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, customers'purchasing power was weak and vegetable prices fell. With the suitable climate, the supply of autumn vegetable in Shandong province will continue to increase, while some other provincial vegetables will decrease with the end of the centralized marketing period, but the overall market supply is sufficient. Vegetable prices are expected to show a downward trend from next week to the "11" period.
