Altay City: Primary and secondary school students enjoy 4 yuan nutritional meal

In order to further improve the nutritional status and health level of students in compulsory education stage, Altai City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has launched a comprehensive plan to improve the nutritional meals of students in compulsory education stage. 16985 primary and secondary school students in the city enjoy a 4 yuan nutritional meal subsidy every day. It is one of the eight practical things for the people put forward by Altay local committee to carry out the plan of improving students' nutrition meal of compulsory education in the whole region. In order to further improve the nutritional status and health level of students in compulsory education stage, Altay Municipal Committee and the government fully investigated the hardware and software conditions of implementing nutritional meals in schools in compulsory education stage, and formulated practical implementation plans.

It is known that Altay has invested more than 13.588 million yuan in the implementation of the nutritional meal improvement plan. According to the current situation of student canteens, hot meals are provided to schools with food supply conditions, pure milk, bread, cake, yoghurt, fruit and other foods are provided to schools without food supply conditions in the form of meals matching, and nutritional meals are prepared in the way of unified government procurement, unified distribution and unified management. Food import is strictly controlled during the whole process, and the policy of education and people's livelihood is effectively guaranteed.
