China's foreign trade operation in the first three quarters is improving

The State New Office held a press conference on imports and exports in the first three quarters on the 14th. Li Quiwen, spokesman of the General Administration of Customs and Director of Statistics and Analysis Department, introduced the meeting. Generally speaking, China's foreign trade operation in the first three quarters showed an overall stable and stable quality.
According to Li Kuiwen, there are three main factors supporting the smooth operation of foreign trade in the first three quarters of this year: the overall stability of the domestic economy, the sustained release of policy effects, and the obvious effect of market diversification. Since this year, China's economy has been running smoothly on the whole, structural adjustment has been steadily promoted and reform and opening-up has been deepened in an all-round way. From January to August, the value-added of industries above the national scale increased by 5.6% year-on-year, the total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 8.2%, and the investment in fixed assets increased by 5.5%. On the other hand, since last year, China has twice raised the export rebate rate of some products, issued a series of independent tariff reduction policies, and twice lowered the value-added tax rate of import links, effectively stimulating the vitality of the main market. For example, the continuous optimization of business environment, trade facilitation level has increased significantly, the first three quarters of China's import and export customs clearance time compared with 2017, respectively, 56.4% and 64.7%.
