Wacker launched two new adhesives in China

Recently, at the 2019 China International adhesive and sealant exhibition, Wacker exhibited two new adhesive products for the first time in China. Among them, nexivapa210 redispersible latex powder can be used to prepare powder like two-component (EPI) wood adhesive. Compared with the conventional water-based adhesive emulsion, the solid powder solves the problem of transportation and storage of products in northern China in winter, making the construction process more simple and convenient, adding water only, and having better bonding properties. Hdkh21 fumed silica with high hydrophobicity can be quickly and efficiently mixed with polar adhesives. Because of its excellent rheological properties in epoxide, vinyl ester and polyurethane based adhesives, it can be used to prepare industrial adhesives with strong flow resistance. At the same time, Wacker will also exhibit a series of high-performance geniosil germade silane modified polymers used in the field of construction and industry.

Nexivapa210 solves the problem of transportation and storage of EPI wood glue in winter in North China. The products prepared with nexivapa210 do not need heat preservation treatment, which can significantly reduce the cost of packaging and packaging waste. In addition, compared with conventional waterborne adhesive emulsion, NEXIVAPA210 has better adhesion properties. According to the D4 Standard Test (EN-204), the shear strength of products prepared by NEXIVAPA210 is more than 5MPa, and the emulsion product is higher than the general level of about 40%. Another new product launched by Wacker at this exhibition is hdkh21 ultra pure fumed silica. The particle specific surface area of the product is large. Although it has strong hydrophobicity and nonpolarity, it can mix with polar liquid more quickly than other hydrophobic fumed silica products. Especially in polar systems such as epoxy resin, vinyl ester and polyurethane adhesives, the product has excellent rheological properties, which can help factories shorten processing time and manufacture high-performance adhesives more efficiently. Hdkh21 is an ideal rheological additive for high strength industrial adhesive. It can be used as the chemical anchoring adhesive for heavy concrete structure, the adhesive for automobile body parts, and the structural adhesive for wind turbine blades.
