Akoma will increase the capacity of fluoropolymer in Changshu plant in China

Driven by the continued strong growth of the lithium battery market for electric vehicles, akoma will increase the capacity of its Changshu plant dedicated to the market of high-performance polymer PVDF by about 50%. This investment will further boost the group's ambitious goal of accelerating the growth of advanced materials. New capacity is expected to be put into production in the fourth quarter of 2020. Mr. erwoan pezron, global president of polymer business of akoma technology, said, under the main driving force of electric passenger vehicles, the battery business continues to show strong and sustainable growth. As a pioneer of high-performance PVDF binder and diaphragm coating, akoma continues to invest in R & D and actively contributes to the growth of its battery customers in Asia and the world.This project further consolidates the global leading position of akoma PVDF and conforms to akoma's strategy of providing localized supply to customers.
