Taking multiple measures to control pork price in Yunnan Province

Our reporter recently learned from the press conference of the provincial development and Reform Commission that in view of the recent rise of pork prices in Yunnan to varying degrees, the provincial development and Reform Commission has taken multiple measures to increase supply and price regulation, so as to ensure that pork prices tend to be stable. Since July this year, pork prices in Yunnan have increased to varying degrees, but the increase has slowed down from late September to the national day. In order to ensure that the basic living standards of the low-income groups do not decrease due to the rise of prices, the provincial development and Reform Commission launched the linkage mechanism between temporary price subsidies and price increases for four consecutive months, and subsidized the preferential objects, urban and rural low-income insurance objects, the extremely poor and the unemployed who are receiving unemployment insurance benefits on a monthly basis. At present, the distribution work in September is being carried out in an orderly manner. In order to ensure the supply of pork in the later stage, the provincial development and Reform Commission, together with relevant units, actively took measures to promote pig production. At present, four large-scale pig farms, including Qinglong pig farm construction project of Jianshui Wenshi animal husbandry Co., Ltd., are being actively organized to apply to the state for construction projects, and the central budget investment of 15 million yuan is being applied to improve the production capacity of the farms and increase the supply of pigs. According to the relevant person in charge of the provincial development and Reform Commission, the prevention and control of swine plague in Africa in Yunnan is effective, and it is expected that the production and supply of live pigs in Yunnan will remain stable in the later stage, while the supply of cattle, sheep and chickens will be sufficient, and the price will keep stable.
