After the opening of business, the performance of inbound duty-free stores continued to decline, and the Korean industry proposed to formulate policies to improve the performance. According to the "operation status of duty free entry stores in July 2019" obtained by member Kim jeongu of the planning and Finance Committee of the Korean parliament from the customs office, the sales volume of SM duty free stores is 3.212 billion won, and the total sales volume of entas is 975 million won.

Sales of cosmetics department were 522 million won, 72 million won, and perfume sales were 38 million won and 36 million won. In July, the number of customers entering SM duty-free stores was 28000, and the number of entas consumers was only 10000. On May 31, the turnover of SM duty-free stores and entas duty-free stores in South Korea opened for the first time was 3.973 billion won and 1.52 billion won in June, respectively. In June, the number of consumers of SM duty-free stores exceeded 5, which was greatly reduced in the past month alone.

From the various categories, the downward trend of turnover is also very obvious, although liquor turnover from 3 billion 185 million won to 2 billion 409 million won, but it is the highest turnover category, cosmetics and perfume turnover from 912 million won to 668 million won, food category from 675 million won to 381 million won. People in the industry said that "July was originally a summer vacation and holiday, so it was the peak time for tourists. However, the turnover of inbound duty-free shops did not rise but fell. In order to activate the business situation of inbound duty-free shops in the future, in addition to continuing to introduce international brands of cosmetics, we should expand the types of cigarettes and other products.
