Among them, the growth of mobile shopping has led to the increase of the overall cosmetics online shopping volume. In the first and second quarter of this year, the growth rate of cosmetics mobile shopping reached 33% and 30%, respectively, which was less than 25% last year. As a result, the proportion of cosmetics mobile shopping volume in the overall cosmetics online shopping volume has exceeded 60% for four consecutive months since April this year. It is reported that in 2017, the online purchase volume of cosmetics was 8.1172 trillion won, up from 9.8404 trillion won last year. In the first half of this year, the trading volume has reached 5.6 trillion won. The industry forecasts that if this trend is maintained, the online shopping volume of cosmetics will exceed 10 trillion won for the first time this year. According to the statistics department, the main reason for the increase of cosmetics online shopping volume is the increase of online duty-free shop transactions of foreign tourists such as China. After testing in physical stores, domestic consumers in South Korea are also increasing their purchase in online shopping malls with relatively low prices. The industry forecasts that with the promotion and marketing through social network (SNS) and the improvement of online shopping environment, the trend of online shopping cosmetics will accelerate to rise. People in the field said that in the past, it was generally believed that the cosmetics industry focusing on the actual use effect was difficult to realize the offline to online conversion, but at present, with the increase of cost-effective consumers, the proportion of online transactions is rising rapidly, and has broad development space.
