Chinese Dichloromethane Market Continued to Jump This Week (Sept 8-14, 2017)

The Chinese dichloromethane market continued to jump this week. The growth rate slowed down from last week. The overall inventory was tight and some producers had stopped giving offers. The demand for dichloromethane was weak this week. But the export market was active. Luxi Chemical and Juhua Group exported a large number goods to the foreign market.

According to ECHEMI, the overall sentiments in the Chinese dichloromethane market became weak. Most players were cautious about the coming market.

Up to September 14, 2017, the average ex-works price for dichloromethane in Shandong was RMB 2,847/mt, up 25.04% from last week. The average ex-works price was RMB 3,287/mt in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, up 24.50% from last week. The market offers for dichloromethane in South China were RMB 3,600/mt, up 13.56% from last week.

Forecast: Though the supply is tight in the Chinese dichloromethane market, the demand is weak and thin. Producers are operating at low loads. It is predicted that the Chinese dichloromethane market will increase first and then remain stable next week.
