Ten points out that high salt (sodium) diet can lead to hypertension, stroke, gastric cancer, osteoporosis and other diseases. About 50% of hypertension and 33% of stroke are caused by high salt diet.
At present, the average salt intake of Chinese residents is 10.5G, and 3 million people die of high salt diet every year in the world "Ten" points out that reducing salt intake is the most simple and effective prevention method. According to the ten suggestions, healthy adults should form the habit of not more than 6 grams of salt per day (1 gram of salt is about 400 mg of sodium). When cooking, use more fresh ingredients, natural food also contains salt, less salt and other seasonings, less pickled food. The meals should be diversified and well matched with various tastes, which can reduce the salt consumption.
To buy processed food, first look at the nutrition label and choose less high sodium food. "Ten" also points out that children use less salt than adults, so we should carefully design recipes, mix a variety of flavors to reduce the use of salt, and choose low salt snacks. "Reasonable diet, eating dynamic balance, drinking more water, and promoting healthy diet."
