The expansion project of Indonesian carbon black plant in Cabot was started
On December 9, it was learned from Cabot that Boston - Business - November 21, 2019 - the previously announced expansion project of Cilegon carbon black plant in Indonesia was officially started today. The expansion will add about 80000 metric tons of annual capacity. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2021. According to the report, the new capacity will bring reliable local high-quality carbon black products to Indonesia and the growing demand for carbon black in Southeast Asia. " Zhilegong plant expansion project is part of the global capacity expansion and debottlenecking project announced by Cabot in May 2018. As a whole, the project will give Cabot the ability to support the growth of global tire, industrial rubber products and special carbon customers.
