It is expected that the port supply will be tight and the price will rise

ECHEMI 2020-01-13

This week's market overview this week, the supply of coal mines in the main production area has been tightened, the demand has slightly improved, and the price of power coal in the mine mouth has been rising and falling. The port inventory continued to decline, and the closing price of power coal rebounded 5-10 CNY/ton. In terms of future research, judgment and suggested production areas, most of the coal mines in the main production area will have a centralized holiday around January 12, with low enthusiasm for production and continued tight supply. However, part of the park coal inventory is in a relatively low level, there is a need for replenishment, and there is a certain support for the price of land sales. In the aspect of launching, the enthusiasm of traders for shipment continued to be low, which led to the accumulation of some mine mouth coal deposits and put pressure on prices. It is expected that the supply and demand of power coal in pithead will be tight and the price will fluctuate strongly next week. In terms of ports, at present, there is no obvious sign of improvement in port transfer in. The number of ships arriving in advance is relatively large, the inventory is likely to continue to decline, and large and medium-sized traders are willing to continue to hold up prices. However, in January, the customs clearance of imported coal may be improved, and the demand for power coal in the northern port downstream will be restrained. It is expected that the supply of goods at the port will be tight next week, with prices rising steadily.
