Jiao Huiqiang stressed that in terms of severely cracking down on crimes against food and drug safety in accordance with the law, we should pay close attention to the key issues of cases involving food and drug safety, especially typical litigation supervision cases and major sensitive appeals cases, and further study and clarify the standards of filing and prosecution.

Jiao Huiqiang revealed that the special action will last until the end of 2020, with severe punishment for recidivism. Five new types of crimes have emerged. According to Jiao Huiqiang, from January 2017 to November 2019, Beijing Procuratorate approved the arrest of 312 346 people suspected of manufacturing and selling fake and shoddy food and drug crimes, filed 778 public prosecutions and 924 people, recommended that the administrative organ transfer 296 people to criminal treatment, filed 11 cases and supervised 11 people, and some cases were handled on suspicion of intellectual property infringement, illegal operation and other charges. One case and one person were arrested and one case and one person was prosecuted in the field of food and drug supervision. There are 110 public interest litigation cases involving food and drugs, 88 pre litigation procedural cases and 3 civil public interest litigation cases in the field of food and drugs, all of which are supported by the court. The total number of people involved in food and drug-related crimes who are prohibited by community correction institutions is 111, and the implementation of the prohibition is subject to procuratorial supervision. Three procuratorial proposals involving food and drug-related crimes are prepared and issued.

Third, some street restaurants abused food additives and were told that they still did not correct after breaking the law. Fourth, some shops manufacture and sell fake "time-honored" roast duck, white wine and other foods to deceive consumers. Fifth, some criminals tempt college students to take part-time jobs to sell fake and inferior products. Individual peddlers use the characteristics of College Students' social experience and insufficient experience to instigate them to engage in illegal activities.
