Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea: The Full-View of Chemical Manufacturing

The event to take place from March 25 to 27 at Songdo Convensia, Incheon
The Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea, held under the joint sponsorship of Messe Esang Co., Ltd (CEO Won Pyo Cho) and Incheon Tourism Organization (CEO Min Hong Min), takes place at Songdo Convensia, Incheon, from the 25th to 27th of March. The Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea, consisting of the 11th International Coating, Adhesive, and Film Industry Expo, the 8th International High-Tech Surface & Painting Expo, and the 2nd International Chemical & Bio Industrial Equipment Expo, is the only expo to take place in Korea which the participants can have a full view of the chemical manufacturing industries around the world, and the event has secured its international-level public confidence and competency by receiving the International Event approval by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industries.

Since 2019, the local manufacturing of the intermediate goods for the manufacturing industry became an issue, and the nation-wide effort is taking place to improve the overall competency of the rear ecosystem of the whole industry. The material, component, and equipment are the source of the industrial competence and segments in which the high value is created, and the government-led growth policy and investment are predicted to accelerate the related industries and firms. The Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea is one of the major industry expos which covers chemical material, semi-conductor, display, cutting-edge technology for aerospace industry, and chemical equipment, and the expo will become a great chance for participants in gaining an insight on the global chemical manufacturing industry trend and the directionality of the Korean industry within the trend.

The 11th International Coating, Adhesive, and Film Industry Expo is one of the major B2B-specialized expos, which covers coating, adhesive, and film industry, the essential elements to all manufacturing industries, including construction, automobile, shipbuilding, industrial material, display, energy, nano, bio, and medical. In the International High-Tech Surface & Painting Expo, held jointly with other two exhibitions, participants can meet the high value-added plating technology for the quaternary industry, the eco-friendly surface treatment that is in high demand due to the tightening regulation on the wet surface treatment technology, and the innovative performance enhancement in the IT sector products. In the International Chemical & Bio Industrial Equipment Expo, the firms that own equipment and technologies that are required for the lab-purpose devices and the chemical safety industry, the rising industry due to an environmental issue.
Additionally, the conferences that promotes the exchange of the intra-industry professional knowledge, including the Spring Seminar on Coating and Adhesive, The Corrosion Science Society of Korea Seminar, Surface Treatment Technology Exchange Society, Chemical Material Manufacturing Industry Safety Seminar, SURFCOAT KOREA Conference, and Graphene Korea Conference, are planned to take place, providing the ground of networking which provides vital information to the industry professionals.

Also, the KOTRA and the sponsors of the expo hold the international buyer invitation program to reinforce the internationalization capacity and to pioneer export outlets for participating firms. The program takes place via trade booths that are allocated for various countries around the world and by inviting the buyers to provide a one-on-one business matching service. The buyers can improve the understanding of the products by eye-witnessing the technology and products, and participating firms can reduce the burden of the buyer invitation cost, realizing the maximum marketing effect within a short period.

An official from Messe Esang Co., Ltd, one of the sponsors of the expo, stated that the goal of this expo is to “find the direction which can lead to the effective marketing outcome for participating firms as well as fostering the win-win strategy for the chemical manufacturing industry as a whole.” Additionally, the official stated that they are “preparing the professional seminars that cover Chemical Substance Control Act and Act on Registration, Evaluation, Etc. of Chemicals.” The official also informed the paper about the support policies that can “reduce the cost burden for participating firms while improving the business outcome.”
The domestic expo subsidies and exportation voucher operations that are being administered by various local governments are helping the firms to reduce the participation cost burden, and for the firms that are based in Incheon, the sponsors are associating with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation to support the participation to the exhibition actively. Especially, the participation of local governments in the joint exhibition benefited more firms with the chance to participate in the exhibition.

The first booth allocation is already finished for the Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea, held at Songdo Convensia, Incheon, from March 25, 2020, to March 27, 2020, and the hosts are recruiting the firms for the remaining booths at a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, the online pre-event registration for the individual participants has begun, and the participants can view all three exhibitions with free admission by applying for the pre-event registration at the expo website.
