The Chinese rutile titanium dioxide market remained stable this week. The overall operating rate was largely stable. The supply was stable and the downstream demand was on a need-to basis. It was hard for the market to move up. Up to October 26, 2017, the mainstream negotiation prices were in the range of RMB 15,800-17,500/mt. Some goods were traded below RMB 15,800/mt.

Anatase Titanium Dioxide Market Review
The Chinese anatase titanium dioxide market remained stable. The overall operating rate was largely stable and some units were shut or cut down output. The downstream users were cautious about the market. Up to September 26, the reference prices were in the range of RMB 14,200-15,000/mt. Some lower prices were heard.

Forecast:
The overall operating rate is around 60%. The overall inventory has become tight. But the downstream demand is also weak. It is predicted that the titanium dioxide market will move marginally in the short term.
