On February 13, the automobile market research branch of China Automobile Circulation Association (passenger Federation) released the production and sales data of passenger vehicles in January this year. According to the data, the comprehensive sales volume of narrow sense passenger vehicles in January was 1.699 million, down 20.8% month on month, down 21.5% year on year. Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the Federation, pointed out that affected by the epidemic, the growth rate of automobile sales in the whole year is predicted to be - 5%. According to the analysis, the year-on-year drop in sales in January is the lowest growth rate since the retail statistics of the Federation of riders in 2005. Specifically, in January, the comprehensive sales volume of cars exceeded 818000, down 19.7% month on month, down 23.7% year on year; the comprehensive sales volume of SUVs was 780000, down 21.6% month on month, down 17.1% year on year; the comprehensive sales volume of MPVS was 101000, down 23.4% month on month, down 33.1% year on year. In terms of new energy vehicles, in January, the wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles were 45 thousand, a year-on-year decrease of 51.3% and a month on month decrease of 67%. Among them, the sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 10 thousand, a year-on-year decrease of 38%; the wholesale sales of pure electric vehicles were 35 thousand, a year-on-year decrease of 52%. In January, according to the comprehensive sales ranking of narrow sense passenger vehicle manufacturers, the top three are FAW Volkswagen, SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC GM, with sales of 187000, 145500 and 124200 vehicles respectively. Cui Dongshu pointed out that the epidemic had a short-term impact on the car market in the first quarter, and part of the consumer demand is difficult to make up in this year, so it will have a certain downward impact on the car market throughout the year. If the epidemic situation can decline steadily in April, it will affect the wholesale sales of about 1.1 million vehicles of manufacturers in the national passenger car market, and it is expected to reduce the annual growth rate of wholesale sales to - 5%, and the loss of national automobile retail sales is expected to be about 1 million vehicles, with a loss of nearly 5 percentage points and a growth rate of - 5%.
