Ministry of Commerce: steady growth of actual foreign investment in January 2020
According to the Ministry of Commerce on February 17, China's absorption of foreign investment in January 2020 was released today. In January this year, the actual use of foreign investment maintained a steady growth. There were 3485 newly established foreign-funded enterprises in China. The actual use of foreign investment was 87.57 billion yuan, up 4% year-on-year (US $12.68 billion, up 2.2% year-on-year, excluding data in the fields of banking, securities and insurance, the same below), basically continuing the steady growth momentum since last year. The absorption of foreign investment by high-tech industries continued to maintain a high growth rate in January. The actual use of foreign investment by high-tech industries reached RMB 31.35 billion, an increase of 27.9% year on year, accounting for 35.8%. The actual use of foreign investment in high-tech manufacturing industry is 8.4 billion yuan, of which the actual use of foreign investment in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, medical equipment and instrument manufacturing industry increased by 10.5% and 118.9% respectively year on year. The actual use of foreign investment in high-tech service industry was 22.95 billion yuan, up 45.5% year on year. Among them, the actual use of foreign investment in information services, R & D and design services increased by 56.6% and 39.2% year-on-year respectively. Three, one belt, one road, the main source of investment, Singapore, Korea and Japan increased 40.6%, 157.1% and 50.2% respectively. The investment in foreign countries along the belt and road has increased by 31.3% and 44.8% respectively (including data from free port).
