China Chemical Products Price Index (CCPI) continues to rise
China's domestic chemical market continued to rise from September 5 to 9. As of September 9, the China Chemical Products Price Index (CCPI), released according to Chemical Online, closed at 5,125 points, up 2.5%.
Among the important chemical products monitored, a total of 42 products rose, accounting for 67.7%, and the top products were ethylene glycol (10.6%), aniline (10.4%) and liquid ammonia (9.8%); 16 products fell, accounting for 25.8%, and the top products fell were liquid chlorine (41.9%), n-butanol (4.9%) and octanol (4.8%).
The price of ethylene glycol rose. The price of raw material ethylene rose, the order of terminal loom picked up, the polyester start-up load increased, the demand for ethylene glycol picked up and the price of spot market went up. It is expected that the supply pressure of ethylene glycol will remain in the later stage and the price will not fluctuate much.
The price of aniline market continued to rise. During the week, the overall factory start-up load was not high, the inventory was low and the spot supply was tight. Downstream purchasing enthusiasm increased, coupled with good export market, the demand side of the market is favorable. Short-term aniline is expected to continue the upward trend.
Liquid ammonia market prices continue to rise. Northern market prices basically continue to run stable, the South and other low-priced market prices continue to make up for the rise. Shandong regional market supply tightening, part of the price increase. It is expected that the liquid ammonia market will continue to run well.
Liquid chlorine market prices prices down. Shandong region rose first and then fell. Because of the previous price increase more, downstream transactions turned poor, prices fell. It is expected that the price of liquid chlorine in Shandong will drop and then rise.
The price of n-butanol market dips. During the week, a number of n-butanol units in Shandong unexpectedly cut production, and the market around the market continues to fall. It is expected that the market price of n-butanol is expected to be stable in the future.
Octanol market prices fell back. During the week, as the price of octanol rose, part of the parking device restarted. Under the influence of this, prices are expected to fall around. It is expected that the market after the octanol market is stable in the decline may be larger.
On the whole, the chemical market has shown a rebound recently. However, the domestic chemical market may not perform as expected under the increased risk of economic recession. The market trend may face further tests.
