Registration of Chitin synthesis inhibitors pesticides in China
Recently, the research team of IPP·CAAS published a paper in Nature revealing the mechanism of Chitin biosynthesis for the first time, which broke through a bottleneck in the development of Chitin pesticides in the past 50 years and has a milestone significance.
This study provides a direction for pesticide enterprises and scientific research institutions to develop new pesticides that inhibit Chitin synthesis or the transformation of old pesticides. It is believed that there will be a batch of new pesticides that inhibit Chitin synthesis in the future, which will help pest control and green development of agriculture.
At present, what are the existing Chitin synthesis inhibitors pesticides in China? How about the registration? Today, we have counted some of the common Chitin synthesis inhibitors pesticides registration.
We selected 18 active ingredients of Chitin synthesis inhibitors pesticide, including 3 fungicides and 15 insecticides. ICAMA shows that the number of Buprofezin products registered is the largest one with 487, followed by Epoxiconazole with 225, Tebufenozide with 200, Etoxazole with 191, and while the number of Triflumuron, 1,2-Dibenzoyl-tert-butylhydrazine and Flufenoxuron are about 10.
As for the number of technical, the largest one is Tebufenozide (34), the second is Lufenuron (25), then, Buprofezin and Epoxiconazole (22), and only with 2 Iprobenfos. Buprofezin is the largest one of registered single formulation, up to 180, next is Tebufenozide with 94, Epoxiconazole with 88, and only three or four Flufenoxuron and 1,2-Dibenzoyl-tert-butylhydrazine. The largest number of compound formulation registered was Buprofezin 285, followed by Epoxiconazole 115, Etoxazole 112, Hexaflumuron 106, and the number of mixed agents of Flufenoxuron, 1,2-Dibenzoyl-tert-butylhydrazine, Triflumuronand and Azadirachtin was less than 5. Details of the registered quantities of 18 active ingredients, such as technicals /TK, single formulation and mixture formulation are shown in the following figure.
